[Here's an anything-goes post for anyone who may wish to interact with Edgeworth in any way at any time. All is welcome under the premise that Edgeworth is either entering or vacating his hotel room. Or just walk right in if you want to be an ass about it. Either way, here is where anyone from anywhere, regardless of game or dressing room, can take advantage of the opportunity to harass a random Edgeworth whenever they see fit.]

[His shoulder twitches.]

...

[Several seconds later, his eyes crack open just ever-so-slightly, and as he glances up at Wright, he smiles placidly and drowsily...]

Hello Feenits...

[...And he drifts off once more.

..Oh, and Wright? If anyone asks...This never happened. No one will believe you, anyway. Not even Edgeworth.]

[Waking up to that every morning would be incredible

Well, he seems to be out cold, and Phoenix isn't about to leave him in a chair to get a neckache all night. He busies himself turning down the bedsheets and then, without really bothering to stop and think too much about it, heaves Edgeworth up princess-style and makes his way over to the bed with him. It's not the easiest feat to accomplish, but he gives it his all; Edgeworth isn't terribly heavy anyway, and Phoenix is resolved to doing this.

It makes perfect sense for some reason.]

[Damn you strong motherfucker how in the Hell]

...

[He may possibly attribute it to dreaming later, but Edgeworth does indeed gather some sense of being in motion for some reason in his languorous semi-consciousness. When you're this sleepy, however...no fucks will be given that day.]

[It isn't easy, but he manages, and when he has successfully deposited Edgeworth, he sits on the side of the bed himself. How could anyone sleep through something like that? He vaguely remembers Edgeworth telling him once that he's stopped having nightmares, and he wonders if that's true. Certainly this sleeping man doesn't look like one troubled by dark memories.

And that kind of makes Phoenix feel good. He smiles and touches Edgeworth's hair, marveling to himself that he's at all getting the chance to do so. Not that he's ever just sat around wanting to, or anything... of course.

Maybe it's the wine, but he soon decides he's sleepy, too, and without a second thought, he stretches out next to Edgeworth, not too close, but near enough that the other man's scent and the sound of his even breaths start to lull Phoenix into a half-sleep state, too.]

This is giving me the beetus.

[If Edgeworth were to know of this, he too, would be perplexed at the fact that he managed to stay asleep through that. However, the fact that he arrived just yesterday and has been in a perturbed state of mind since then was the main contributing factor of him not sleeping the entire night before, so being awake for over 24 hours might've facilitated things for Phoenix...Having gone into a deeper state of sleep, Edgeworth begins to snore softly. Because that's how he rolls.]

[The sound of Edgeworth's snoring surprises Phoenix enough to rouse him out of the sleepiness he'd begun to settle into, and he hefts himself up onto his elbows to look over once again at the sleeping man.

And it's then that he realizes with the sensation of a fist slamming into his gut that he's got it very bad for his "partner." Of course the feeling has been there for a while probably since childhood, but he hasn't really allowed himself to access it for fear of what he might find when he did so. But there it is, bright and clear and so painfully obvious that he can't quite understand how he managed to keep it buried for so long. He has feelings for this man--strong and confusing and jostling, yes, but all at the same time, they're nice feelings. Sort of comforting.

He takes a moment to collect himself, breathes in deeply a few times, and then curls up again next to Edgeworth, dozing off once more. After all, he might as well sleep in good company.]

[EPILOGUE] 1/2

[It is now the break of dawn. As the soft sunrays peek meekly from the blinds of the window, scarce streams of consciousness advances upon Edgeworth. His eyes crack open, staring at the ceiling as he indolently scratches his abdomen and tries to recall memories of the day before. He closes his eyes and inhales deeply, lifting himself to a sitting position, when - Ah! - he felt a surge of pain in the upper-right section of his head....which promptly reminds him of the wine he had last night. Edgeworth was not much of a drinker, although he did enjoy a glass or two on special occasions, and this headache was a joyous reminder of his relative intolerance to the drink. Oddly enough, he had no recollection of getting into bed. Oh, and Wright was there, wasn't he? Wasn't he acting a little more out-of-place than usual? Did he return to his room? Where did he go? Surely, he wasn't in the chair where he had last recalled him to be.]

...

[He then hears a faint rustle of fabric...
...right beside him.]

[EPILOGUE] 2/2

..!!??!!?!?!

[...If Edgeworth could verbalize the inner workings of his brain upon seeing Wright curled up next to him, it would sound somewhat like a cacophany of robots farting to the tune of 'Thus Spake Zarathustra.']

[Edgeworth violently scrambles into full awareness, resulting in him plummeting off the side of the bed. Well, at least they both seemed to be dressed, so that eliminates one concern. Maybe.]

[He shakily reaches up to grab hold of the bed, his head emerging slowly from the bed's horizon, revealing a wide-eyed, stupefied expression...
...And he simply stares at the sleeping Wright, gawking.]

[ He stands, blinks at Wright a few times, then walks over to where they were enjoying their alcohol the night before. Hand jittery, he slowly grips the neck of the wine bottle. He then treads slowly to the window, opens it, extends his hand outside, and releases his hold, resulting in the bottle plunging several stories to an eventual demise.

He then exits the room, leaving Wright to his slumber - all this time with the same, unchanging, deer-in-headlights look on his face. Maybe a little stroll will help him recall just what the HELL happened last night.]
